Roll & Cover Dice Game Boards
                                                                for preschoolers and above

Who does not love to play dice games?  In my preschool room dice are a staple. We even use dice for classroom management. Uncommon uses for our dice include:
                  - Clean Up Game- child rolls a die to determine how many objects they pick up and put away.
                  - Tower Building- children use dice to build a tower. This is a science lesson in size and balance.
                  - Roll the furthest - place tape on the floor in various locations and set a starting point. Children try to roll the dice to each line.
                  - Who rolled a larger or smaller number- a comparing math activity.

Our Favorite Dice Game- ROLL & COVER

A simple game it is using the Roll & Cover mats...

1 (one) die and the markers that are included......

How to play....

Each child has a mat and a set of markers. The die is rolled and the correct number on the mat is covered using the marker that has the digit representing the number of dots on the die.

For a variation we use small objects such as buttons to fill the numbers on the mats. If the number is 5 then five buttons are counted out.
